Last month, Grimsby Town Football Club introduced dedicated recycling stations in four areas of the ground, helping to reduce the Club’s carbon footprint by recycling the waste that we produce on match days.
We would like to extend a big thank you to all visitors of Blundell Park who have continued to help us with our recycling goal, and have used our new recycling stations. Look out for our “GTFC green team” in the coming weeks. These recycling champions are here to assist fans in helping us achieve our goal of becoming carbon neutral.
Each of our stands has its own dedicated station and are easily accessible via the listed methods:
Main Stand – Located in Harrington Street corner in front of the Press Room, right of the turnstiles
Pontoon Stand – Located in the Imperial Avenue corner by the large gates
Young’s Upper Stand – Located in the Imperial Avenue corner by the large gates
Young’s Lower Stand – Located in the corner of Constitutional Avenue by the Fan Zone
Osmond Stand – Located at the stand itself, for use by home and away supporters located in the Osmond Stand
Fan Zone – Located in the corner of Constitutional Avenue
These stations are dedicated for dry mixed recycling and take the following items. We continue to actively encourage our supporters to use them when leaving their seats:
Empty Cans
Empty Plastic Bottles
Card & Cardboard
Paper & Magazines
Empty Food Containers
Once again, we would like to thank all those Mariners who have joined us in our recycling journey and continue to help us achieve our goal of becoming carbon neutral.
We also have some exciting developments planned for Blundell Park during the closed season, one of these being the development of our disabled seating area. In the meantime, we kindly ask that carers and assistants refrain from using unfixed seating and use the fixed seating provided in this area.
