Mariners Receive Money Raised From Crowdfunder

Grimsby Town Football Club are delighted to confirm receipt of monies raised from the recent fans Crowdfunder.

Organiser, Richard Ladd met with Club Chairman Philip Day yesterday to finalise the transfer of £12,040, raised from more than 460 supporters. Mr Day said:

“The Club would like to thank Richard for his initiative in creating the Crowdfunder page and all those who contributed to it. These are unprecedented times for our Club and the money raised will help to meet the financial requirements we have to keep the Club going.  We are extremely grateful to all involved.”

Not wanting to take all the credit for a successful fundraiser, Richard added: “I’ve supported Grimsby Town for 25 years and wanted to help out in some way. Grimsby Town fans have a strong history with Crowdfunder’s so that seemed like a good idea. I set up the page but full credit must go to everybody that donated during what is difficult times for many.  To reach such an amount is incredible.”

Ongoing vital fundraising continues through the purchase of shares or 20/21 replica shirts. Sale items are also available in the Lower Young’s Trust bar every day this week between 10am-1pm as well as Thursday 4pm-6pm.

Thank you all for your continuous support.
