We are delighted to announce the signing of Ryley Reynolds on a season-long loan from Notts County.
The 20-year-old midfielder joins the Mariners after spending the last two seasons on loan with Kidderminster Harriers, where he established himself as a regular starter and played a key role in their promotion push.
Reynolds made 42 appearances for the Harriers last season, scoring nine goals, while also finding the net twice in the FA Trophy.
The attacking midfielder began his senior career with Long Eaton United, making six appearances during the 2023/24 season before earning a move to Notts County.
He signed his first professional contract with the Magpies in July 2024 and made his first-team debut later that year, featuring in a 2-1 EFL Trophy victory away at Burton Albion.
Reynolds then joined Kidderminster on loan in November 2024, with that spell subsequently extended until the end of the season. He returned to the club for a second season-long loan in August 2025, continuing his development with regular first-team football.
The Mariners latest addition said:

“I’ve had two good seasons at Kidderminster where I’ve been able to play regularly and develop my game, and I feel ready for the next step. I want to keep improving, get as much game time as possible and help the team have a successful season.
“I’ve spoken to the manager and the plans he has for me and the team really appealed to me. I’m an attacking midfielder who likes to get on the ball, create chances and contribute with goals, so hopefully I can bring that to the team.
“I’m really excited to meet the lads, get into training and hopefully play my part in what can be a really good season for the club.”

“Ryley is a player we’ve been impressed with and we’re really pleased to get him in for the season. He’s had two good years of senior football at Kidderminster and has shown that he can contribute at the top end of the pitch.
“He’s an energetic, technically good midfielder who has the ability to play between the lines, create opportunities and get into goalscoring positions. His numbers last season were very good, but there’s also plenty more to come from him.
“He’s still only 20 and this is an important stage of his development. We think Grimsby Town is a good environment for him to take that next step, while also giving us another talented player who can make a real difference.
“We’re looking forward to working with him and seeing what he can do in a Grimsby shirt.”
The youngster now makes the move to Blundell Park for the 2026/27 campaign, adding further competition and creativity to the Mariners’ midfield options.
