Grimsby Town have been drawn at home to Blackpool in the First Round of the 2026/27 Carabao Cup.
The tie was confirmed during Thursday afternoon’s draw, which was broadcast live on Sky Sports News as part of the EFL’s Fixture Release Day coverage.
The Mariners will welcome the Seasiders to Blundell Park over the weekend of 7-9 August, with the exact date and kick-off time to be confirmed in due course.
David Artell’s side will be aiming to build on a memorable Carabao Cup campaign last season, which included unforgettable victories over Manchester United and Sheffield Wednesday before progressing deep into the competition.
Blackpool, who compete in Sky Bet League One, will provide a stern test at Blundell Park as Town begin their cup journey.
The Carabao Cup continues to offer clubs and supporters the chance to create special memories, and the Mariners will be hoping to make home advantage count as they look to reach the Second Round.
