Welcome back to Blundell Park as we prepare to welcome Shrewsbury Town for another Sky Bet League Two clash at the home of the Mariners.

 

Ahead of kick-off, David Artell shared his thoughts on  Saturday’s match:

Opening Times

9am: Ticket Office & Club Shop opens

12pm: The Lower Bar open to supporters

1:30pm: Turnstiles open

Fan Zone Update

We can confirm that the Fan Zone will not be open ahead of tomorrow’s fixture against Shrewsbury Town.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank supporters for their understanding. We are working hard on a solution that will allow the Fan Zone to reopen as soon as possible, with further details to follow.

There are still several refreshment options available around Blundell Park, with food vendors also located around the ground. The Lower Bar will open from 12pm, while the bars inside the stadium will open from 1:30pm.

 

Ticket News

We’d like to remind fans to enter Blundell Park via the entrance stated on their ticket to help avoid any delays on arrival. We ask that home supporters in the Osmond Stand enter via turnstiles nine and ten.

 

Our Returning Legend – James McKeown

Returning Legend James McKeown will be back at Blundell Park tomorrow, with the former Mariners goalkeeper set to be presented to supporters at half-time. McKeown spent 11 seasons with Town, making 505 appearances and playing a key role in the Club’s return to the Football League in 2016. Supporters can also hear from James in McMenemy’s before kick-off, as he reflects on his career and his memorable time in black and white.

Mighty Mariner

Mighty Mariner will be around the ground from 1:45pm and will be available for photos with supporters.

 

Half Time Half-Way Challenge 

Five supporters will have the chance to head onto the pitch at half-time and take part in our Half-Way Line Challenge.

Take your kick and see how close you can get to the target. We’ve got first, second and third prizes up for grabs for the supporters with the nearest kick!

Fancy taking part? Supporters can register their interest at the PA Box before kick-off. If you are unsure where to find the PA box, please ask your nearest steward who will be happy to direct you.

Places are limited to five participants and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

All ages from six upwards are eligible to take part in the half time challenge

By Car

Follow signs for Grimsby via the M180, continuing as it becomes the A180. Blundell Park is located adjacent to the McDonald’s Drive-Thru on Grimsby Road.

Supporter and team coaches should turn off Grimsby Road onto Tiverton Street and will be parked along Harrington Street.

By Train

The nearest station is Cleethorpes, approximately a 20-minute walk. Upon exiting, turn right and follow the High Street until reaching Blundell Park on your right.

By Bus

Stagecoach services stop directly outside Blundell Park. Matchday services include route 3.

We are pleased to announce the introduction of two new dedicated matchday bus services, the 18, and the 78.

The 18 will operate between Waltham and Blundell Park, travelling through:

Waltham > New Waltham > Humberston > Cleethorpes > Blundell Park

The 78 will also operate between Waltham and Blundell Park, travelling via Grimsby and Scartho:

Waltham > Springfield > Nunsthorpe > Willows > Grimsby > Blundell Park

The service will operate both before and after home fixtures.

Parking

Parking near the stadium is extremely limited. Supporters are encouraged to arrive early and use street parking where available, noting that some surrounding areas operate matchday restrictions.

The latest edition of our award-winning programme, The Mariner, will be on sale for £3 at outlets around the ground and in the Club Shop. A reminder that programme sellers around the ground will be able to take both cash and card payments for this fixture.

 

Club Shop

The Club Shop will be open from 9am until kick-off, and provides the perfect opportunity to grab some Mariners gifts. Available is our 26/27 kit range, plus plenty of back to school essentials and other branded merchandise.

From Saturday, we also have our new lifestyle collection on sale, featuring the crested zip up track jacket, cotton polo shirt and long sleeved polo and hoodie.

We’re also pleased to announce the that we have received a top up order of order of long-sleeve 26/27 home and away shirts, and they will go on sale in-store tomorrow. The restocked shirts will be available to purchase online from Monday.
