Today’s match against Harrogate Town has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
The team of officials conducted a pitch inspection at 11am this morning before a further one at 1pm and, due to the persistent cold and sub-zero temperatures, have deemed the pitch unplayable.
Representatives from the Club have been in regular contact with the officials and our opponents over the last 24 hours regarding this afternoon’s match. An earlier pitch inspection was requested by the Club but denied.
We have had the frost covers on the Blundell Park pitch throughout this week in order to give the game the best chance possible to go ahead.
We will keep supporters updated regarding dates for the rearranged match as and when we learn it.
Tickets purchased for this afternoon’s match will be valid for the rearranged fixture. Should supporters require a refund, however, please contact the Ticket Office.
The Ticket Office will remain open today until 3pm for Season Ticket Holders and 1878 Club Members to purchase their tickets on a one-for-one basis for next weekend’s Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round match against Luton Town.
