James Mckeown will be our matchday guest in McMenemy’s against Bradford City on Saturday 31st August.

The former Mariners goalkeeper made over 500 appearances across an 11-year spell at the club, and was a key part of the team which won promotion from the National League in 2015-16. He was made club captain ahead of the 2019/20 season before his departure following our promotion from the National league in the 21/22 season.

Macca enjoyed a 16-year career in the game, which also included back-to-back promotions with Peterborough United before his memorable spell at Blundell Park between 2011 and 2022.

He will be in McMenemy’s ahead of the game against Bradford City where he will take part in a Q&A about his time as a Mariner with our matchday host.

Supporters with a hospitality package for the fixture will also have a chance to meet, chat and have photos taken with the former Town captain.
