Clarke Oduor has been named in the Kenya national football team squad for the upcoming FIFA Series tournament set to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, during the March international window.
Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has selected a 23-man squad for the tournament, which will run between 23 and 31 March and forms part of Kenya’s preparations for upcoming international competitions.
The squad combines experienced domestic and overseas-based players as the national team continues to build towards future competitive fixtures, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
Oduor returns to the national team setup after a period away from international football and will be hoping to add to his existing caps during the series.
Kenya have been drawn alongside the Estonia national football team, the Grenada national football team and hosts Rwanda national football team, with the competition designed to provide valuable preparation time and exposure to teams from different footballing regions.
The Harambee Stars will face Estonia in their opening fixture on Friday 27 March (18:00 local time) at the Amahoro Stadium. The result of that match will determine whether Kenya compete in the winners’ or third-place fixture later in the tournament on 30 March.
The squad will report for a residential training camp on 22 March before travelling to Rwanda ahead of the competition.
Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Clarke on his call-up and wish him the very best while representing Kenya.
