Supporters planning to travel to this afternoon’s fixture at Cambridge United are advised that a pitch inspection will take place at the Cledara Abbey Stadium at midday today.

Cambridge United have confirmed that the pitch coped well with the recent weather over the weekend and was deemed playable throughout yesterday. However, overnight temperatures of -6°C have affected parts of the playing surface.

As of 8am this morning, approximately 75% of the pitch remains in good condition, with the remaining 25% requiring further attention. Cambridge United’s grounds team have been working on the affected areas since 7am and will continue their efforts ahead of the scheduled inspection.

A further update will be communicated once the outcome of the pitch inspection is known. Supporters are advised to keep an eye on the Club’s official channels for the latest information.
