Sutton United
These two sides last met in late November when Sutton made the journey to Blundell Park to see out a 1-1 draw. It was Town who struck first in this contest as Rekeil Pyke bagged after 20 minutes but Harry Smith was able to level the scores on the stroke of half time, ensuring the team from South London left with a point.
Sutton are currently managed by former Norwich, Leeds and Millwall striker Steve Morison who has been with United since the turn of the year following the dismissal of Matt Gray. Morison opting to leave step 7 side Hornchurch to join the U’s.
The Yellow’s come into this game having won just once out of their last 14 games in all competitions, that being the emphatic 4-3 away victory at Notts County last month. Tomorrow’s hosts will be looking to bounce back just seven days after they suffered last minute heartbreak at Tranmere after they conceded an 87th minute winner.
Sutton United sit second to bottom in the home standings in League Two having won only three times in front of their home crowd in the league this season, losing eight out of the 18 games played at the VBS Community Stadium.
Harry Smith is Sutton’s top scorer this season having scored 11 in his 31 appearances whilst linking up the forward line with the ever-helpful Aiden O’Brien who has eight assists to his name for the side that sit bottom of the table.
