The search for our new Chief Executive is being led by Elite Performance Partners (www.eppglbal.com), an international recruitment specialist that helps to support, build and grow high performing teams in the sporting field.
THE ROLE
The CEO will become the club’s new leader, representative, and an ambassador, serving as the key liaison for the Board, commercial partners, football activities and other stakeholders. Tasked with perpetuating and enhancing the organisational culture, the CEO will be accountable for both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the football club.
The person will aim to build on a 3-year plan that has successfully improved the organisational culture, infrastructure and league status, fostering a high-performance ethos.
The role will extend to:
Strategic Leadership:
• Implement a clear and ambitious vision for the whole club, aligned with its long-term strategy, goals, and values.
• Provide strategic direction to all areas of the club, including the Foundation.
Financial Management and Growth:
• Oversee the financial health of the club; managing budgets and maximising revenue streams including the exploitation of commercial opportunities, sponsorships and partnerships.
Football Operations:
• Oversee the work of the Head Coach, Academy Manager and coaching staff and support them to build a competitive and successful team and Academy infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with league regulations and foster a culture of professionalism and excellence right across football operations.
Fan Engagement:
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance fan engagement and matchday experience.
Commercial Development:
• Lead the club’s commercial activities, including sponsorship, merchandise, and hospitality.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the club’s brand and market presence.
Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including the board, foundation and relevant football bodies.
• Be a key external face of the club, fostering positive relationships within the football world.
Facilities Management:
• Oversee the maintenance and development of all club facilities, including the stadium and training facilities, always ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Safeguarding:
• Acting as the Senior Safeguarding Manager for the football club and the Foundation, ensuring that the function is resourced sufficiently, and that safeguarding principles and good practices are widely understood and shared across the organisation.

To be able to deliver this role, these are skills and experiences we will be looking for:
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business Administration, Sports Management or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications in sports management or business leadership.
Experience:
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a football club or other organisation.
• Track record of successful financial management and revenue generation.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Financial and commercial acumen and budget management skills.
• Knowledge of football industry.
• Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions.
