Ben Toner will be the man with the whistle when the Mariners host Carlisle United on Saturday.

The Lancashire-based official will travel to Blundell Park for his 28th game of the current campaign, having being promoted from the National League in 2015/16.

Mr Toner, who opened this campaign by refereeing our first fixture against Bradford City, was a regular official in Town’s National League days, most notably officiating the Play-Off Semi-Final second leg victory over Eastleigh at Blundell Park in May 2015.

In those 28 games this season he has shown 94 Yellow Cards and six Red Cards.

Alongside Mr Toner will be Abbas Khan and Alix Pashley as assistant referees, as well as Wayne Grunnill as the fourth official.
