Lancashire official Ben Toner will be the man with the whistle at Port Vale on Boxing Day.

This season marks Mr. Toner’s fourth at Football League level, having been promoted in 2015-16.

He was a regular official in Town’s National League days, most notably officiating the Play-Off Semi-Final second leg victory over Eastleigh at Blundell Park in May 2015.

Mr Toner’s last Town game was last season’s nil-nil draw at Morecambe in Sky Bet League Two.

In 37 games so far this season he has shown 105 Yellow Cards and 3 Red Cards.

Alongside Mr Toner will be Maryvn Amphlett and Declan Ford as assistant referees, as well as Christopher Ward as fourth official.
