Seat swap initiative for the MK Dons game

Grimsby Town Football Club is trailing a ‘seat swap’ initiative with the aim of improving the atmosphere at Blundell Park for the MK Dons game on Saturday 26th October.

Supporters will be able to change their usual season ticket seat for one behind the goal in the Osmond Stand for this specific fixture to see if grouping fans together, like at away fixtures, can help to create a better atmosphere at home games.

Grimsby Town Football Club’s SLO, Kristine Green, said, “We’ve had several requests to have games where we promote seat moves into the Osmond Stand to try and improve the overall atmosphere at Blundell Park on matchdays.

“Due to the amount of season ticket holders we have, the only place we can trial this is in the Osmond Stand, next to the away supporters.

“This initiative will allow supporters who normally sit together at away games and help to create the brilliant atmosphere in the away end to come together and do the same at home games.

“If this works for the Milton Keynes game, perhaps it will be something we look to do more during the season.”

How to swap your seat

Season ticket holders who would like to take part in the seat swap, need to log into their account online and access their ticket for the event ‘Milton Keynes Dons’. Next, select the seat in the Osmond Stand you would like to move to, confirming your age category and selecting the delivery method preference.

Once completed, your seat will have been swapped for the fixture and you can gain access on matchday with either a physical, mobile or e-ticket by using Turnstiles 9 + 10 at the top of Constitutional Avenue, between the Lower Stand and the Fan Zone.

Tickets for the MK Dons game are now on sale via the Blundell Park Ticket Office, online via the ticket portal or over the phone by calling 01472 605050.
