We are delighted to announce that Skipper’s Pet Products Ltd have become the new Official Mariner Matchday Programme Sponsor ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The partnership sees the Grimsby-based pet treat manufacturer join forces with the Mariners, strengthening the link between two organisations that share a deep connection to the town, its heritage and its community.
Founded by former fish merchant Steve Moore, Skipper’s Pet Products Ltd was born from a simple idea: take the incredible seafood expertise Grimsby is famous for and use it to create the world’s best natural dog treats.
Based in the heart of the UK’s fishing industry, Skipper’s uses sustainable, human-grade fish and fish co-products to create natural treats for dogs, helping reduce waste while maintaining the nutritional benefits of the fish. Their unique low-temperature drying process preserves the natural proteins and oils, producing treats that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, which can help support healthy skin, a glossy coat, joints and overall wellbeing. The range also includes their best-selling natural dental chews, which help clean dogs’ teeth as they chew.
Grimsby’s identity has always been shaped by the fishing industry, and Skipper’s share that same pride in the town’s heritage.
From the docks and auction halls to the modern-day food production industry, Grimsby continues to be recognised as one of Europe’s leading centres for seafood. Skipper’s continues that tradition by bringing manufacturing back to the UK and showcasing the expertise and quality that exists within our local community.
Speaking about the partnership, Adam Smith – Chief Operating Officer at Grimsby Town FC – said:
“We are delighted to welcome Skipper’s Pet Products as our new Official Mariner Matchday Programme Sponsor.
“Skipper’s is a fantastic example of a successful local business that draws on Grimsby’s proud fishing heritage while using innovation and sustainable practices to create products sold across the country. Steve’s passion for the town and the football club is clear, and there is a real authenticity to this partnership.
“Our matchday programme remains an important part of the matchday experience at Blundell Park, and we look forward to using the partnership to introduce Skipper’s story and products to Mariners supporters throughout the season.”
As part of the partnership, Skipper’s branding will feature prominently across our matchday programmes throughout the 2026/27 season, helping bring their story and products to Mariners supporters on matchdays at Blundell Park.
Steve Moore, Founder of Skipper’s Pet Products, added:
“I’ve supported Grimsby Town for years, so this means a great deal to me personally. Skipper’s was built in this town, from this town’s industry, and being part of matchdays at Blundell Park is a genuine privilege.
“Skipper’s have grown to become the UK’s largest producer of fish for dogs, and it’s all done at the heart of the UK’s fishing industry. Grimsby fish, Grimsby club, Grimsby dogs. It brings together everything we’re proud of.
“We’ve always believed in championing the skills, quality and people that make this community so special, and being able to support the club that represents our town feels like a natural fit.
“This is an exciting step for Skipper’s, and we’re very proud to be joining the Mariners family.”
Whether it’s cheering on the Mariners on a Saturday afternoon or taking the dog for a walk afterwards, Skipper’s believes the best moments are shared with those who matter most. This partnership celebrates community, local pride and everything that makes Grimsby special.
Everyone at Grimsby Town would like to welcome Skipper’s Pet Products to the Mariners family, and we look forward to working together throughout the season ahead.
