Solihull Moors – Away Travel Guide

Making the journey to Solihull this Tuesday evening? Kristine Green has provided our latest away travel guide to help make your trip run as smooth as possible!

What colour kit will the team be wearing?

Blue kit for this fixture.

What’s the ticket information?

At the time of writing, no tickets will be available to purchase on the night.

What time will turnstiles open?

Turnstiles will open at 6.30pm

How do I get to the ground?

Postcode for the ground is B92 9EJ.

Come off the M42 at junction 6 onto the A45 towards Birmingham. In 2 miles you’ll come to a set of traffic lights with a Holiday Inn on your right, as well as the entrance to the Birmingham Freight Cargo Terminal.  Turn left, signposted Landrover/Damsonwood onto Damson Parkway.  At the roundabout that has the entrance to Landrover, go all the way around and back onto yourself – the entrance to the ground in on your left.

Where is the best place to park?

The stadium has limited parking on a first-come, first-served basis and costs £5.

Street parking around the ground is limited. Parking on Damson Parkway is a no, no. It’s likely that you will get a ticket if you park here.

The alternative is the NCP car Park at Birmingham Airport, which is a good 15-20 minute walk away (B26 3QT).  Download the ParkPass NCP app and use the Saver ID: HMFC4X for a discount.  The car park closes at 22.20pm. The X12 will run every 30 minutes from the town centre, the NCP and Birmingham International Station.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Solihull railway station has trains from Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone.

Birmingham International Station has train from Euston and Birmingham New Street.

Neither station is within a good walking distance so you’ll need a taxi.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

Not a lot available around the ground – There’s a Harvester on Tanhouse Farm Road, but this is more of a restaurant and a 30-minute walk away.

There’s the Red House on Hermitage Road and Greville Arms on Cornyx Lane but both are a good 40-minute walk from the ground.

If you’re parking at the airport, the Holiday Inn has a pub but other than that, there is nothing else really as the town centre is a good 50-minute walk away.

Food available in the area?

As with the pubs not a lot around the ground.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

It’s a trek to the nearest cash machine on Hatchford Brook Road – 30-minute walk. Suggest fans sort cash before they leave Town.

What food and drink is available at the stadium?

Food inside the ground is pies, chips and hot and cold drinks.

There is a bar in the away end, which opens at the same time as the turnstiles. It only has a capacity of around 100 fans though.

Is a programme available?

Solihull Moors create a 20-page matchday programme costing £1.50.

What is the flag policy?

Please follow stewards instructions – no flags to obscure advertising boards.
