Squad Numbers Confirmed for new season!

We are delighted to now be able to confirm our squad numbers for the upcoming Sky Bet League Two season ahead of tomorrow’s opener against AFC Wimbledon.

With ten new signings joining the ranks this summer, there are plenty of new faces and one of those takes the number 1 shirt in the shape of Grimsby-born goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright.

He has joined on a season-long loan deal from Hull City and will be competing with fellow goalkeeper Jake Eastwood for a starting berth with the former Sheffield United keeper handed the number 12.

At the back, Harvey Rodgers and Toby Mullarkey add to the defensive options at Paul Hurst’s disposal and have been handed the number 5 and 28 shirt, respectively.

Kamil Conteh, an arrival from Middlesbrough after impressing in the National League for Gateshead, will wear the number 42 shirt in his first season as a Mariner. Fellow central midfielder Alex Hunt has changed his squad number from last season’s 16 to 29 for the upcoming campaign while wide man Abo Eisa has been given the number 7. Fellow winger Charles Vernam will wear the number 10 that, last season, was worn by John McAtee.

Up front, Town have brought in three strikers with Rekeil Pyke set to wear the number 9 shirt. Donovan Wilson will don the 25 while Danny Rose, a member of Stevenage’s promotion-winning squad last season, will wear the number 32.

Supporters will be able to get names printed on replica shirts from when the Club Shop opens on Monday at 10am.
