One of a number of new signings this summer, Harvey joined the Mariners after being a regular started in Sky Bet League One for Accrington Stanley last season.
Selby-born, Rodgers came through the youth ranks at Hull City and signed his first professional contract at the beginning of the 2015-16 season. After not making a senior appearance for the MKM Stadium club, he moved on loan to Accrington Stanley in January 2017 and made his league debut against Carlisle United.

Rodgers turned down the offer of a new contract with Hull, he made a permanent move to Fleetwood Town in July 2017. That move would be short lived, however, with Rodgers being sent off in an EFL Cup defeat to Carlisle United in what would turn out to be his only appearance for the club.

A return to Accrington Stanley came in January 2018 after the defender signed a two-year deal with the clubs agreeing an undisclosed fee. He became a regular player at the Crown Ground, making over a century of league appearances for the club before signing a three-year deal with the Mariners this summer after turning down a new deal with Accrington.
