That Night at Anfield

A very special night in the Club’s history will be remembered at an event in McMenemy’s next week featuring some Mariners legends.

We produced one of the biggest shocks in our history in 2001, when Phil Jevons scored an extra-time winner against Liverpool in the Third Round of the League Cup.

21 years later, Jevons and three of his former Mariners teammates, Alan Pouton, Danny Butterfield and Ben Chapman are back at Blundell Park to reminisce about that famous night and their time at the Club in a one-off event.

The evening has been organised by Nor-Lait, who were the promoters behind the recent night which featured Craig Disley and Nathan Arnold.

Speaking of the event, Simon North of Nor-Lait said: “Being a big Town fan at the game that night, it’s one of the greatest games in the Club’s history, not to mention one of the greatest goals of all time by a Town player!

“We are delighted that some of the players will be joining us to take a look back at a memorable night for the Club. It will be a great night for supporters young and old.”

That Night at Anfield takes place on Friday 11th November and Nor-Lait still have ticket packages available which range from Platinum at £61.50 to Bronze at £14.
