Town on the big screen!

We are delighted to announce that ‘All Town Aren’t We’, our documentary about the 2021-22 promotion-winning campaign, will have its World Premiere at Parkway Cinema, Cleethorpes on January 5th from 7pm.

Over the last 18 months, the Club has worked closely with Jack Spring, the man behind ‘Three Day Millionaire’, and Shush Films, to create a three-part documentary series that tells the story of our takeover in 2021 and the heroic play-off run. All those moments were captured brilliantly, and now a special feature-length version of the documentary, which includes never-before-seen interviews with players, staff and fans, will screen at the Parkway Cinema from Friday 5th through to Saturday 13th January.

On the documentary, Director Jack Spring said, “I’m very, very excited that we are finally able to release the documentary with an exclusive run at the Parkway Cinema in Cleethorpes before it goes out into the wider world.

“It’s obviously an amazing story but we’ve been able to squeeze everything out of it and I think all football fans will love it. As a Mariner, it was a really emotional project to be a part of.

“Everyone we spoke to was absolutely brilliant. I was a little bit nervous directing footballers, rather than actors like I am used to, but they were all fantastic, and it’s great we were able to get to know them as people a bit better and for their personalities to shine through.

“It was also great to show Grimsby, and the people of Grimsby, in a positive light and I’m so excited to see if we can help to change people’s perspectives of both this football club and also the town as a whole.”

Tickets for the World Premiere on Friday 5th January are now available from the Parkway Cinema’s website by clicking here and they cost £18 for adults and £15 for concessions. This will be a red carpet event featuring many of the people from the documentary. Please note that there will be a smart dress code.

Following the World Premiere event, further screenings of the documentary will take place throughout the rest of the week – tickets for these showings will be released next week.

After the cinematic release, the documentary will also be available for exile supporters for a short time ahead of an international streaming release – more information to be announced very soon.

The play-off campaign was a two-week period that no Town fan will ever forget, and from Friday 5th January, we will be able to re-live it all over again on the big screen for a limited theatrical run.
