Turi Named in Faroe Islands Squad for San Marino Friendly

Géza Dávid Turi has been named in the Faroe Islands national football team squad for the upcoming international friendly against the San Marino national football team.

The 23-man squad will come together during the next international window as the Faroes continue their preparations for the upcoming fixture.

Géza has quickly established himself within the national team setup since becoming eligible to represent the country. Prior to that, he was previously called up to the Faroe Islands national under-21 football team in 2021.

After first being selected for the senior squad earlier in 2025 for FIFA World Cup qualification fixtures against the Czech Republic national football team and the Montenegro national football team, Turi made his international debut later in the year against the Croatia national football team in September.

He went on to score his first senior international goal for the Faroes in November during another meeting with Croatia, marking an important milestone in his international career.

The upcoming friendly against San Marino provides another opportunity for Turi to add to his international appearances and continue gaining experience at senior international level.

Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Geza on his call-up and wish him the very best while representing the Faroe Islands.
