Town were beaten 3-1 by the League One side Rochdale at a freezing cold Blundell Park this afternoon. Harvey Tomlinson scored a late consolation goal from the penalty spot for the Mariners.

Our U18s side take on Rochdale in the EFL Youth Alliance Cup Northern final today.

The tie at Blundell Park kicks off at 1pm.

Neil Woods’ side booked their place in the final with a 2-1 victory at Huddersfield Town, whilst Dale saw off Shrewsbury Town in their semi-final.

Town: Boyes, Scott, Blakely, Davey, Smaller, Goundry, Bramwell, Khouri, Essel, Adlard, Tomlinson.

Subs: Potts Jacobs, Stratton, Milner, Grist.
