We can confirm that Stephen Wearne has returned to the Club after his loan spell with Vanarama National League side Torquay United.

The midfielder initially joined The Gulls on a one-month loan deal in November before extending his stay and made twelve appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals in their Isuzu FA Trophy victory over Chippenham Town in December. Wearne was also named the Club’s Player of the Month for November after some impressive performances in the Torquay shirt.

The 22-year-old has joined back up with the first-team squad and is in contention for Saturday’s trip to face Swindon Town at the County Ground.
