Worthington in McMenemy’s on Saturday

We are looking forward to welcoming former skipper Dave Worthington back to Blundell Park this Saturday for our game against Swindon Town.

Yorkshire born Worthington made just under 300 appearances for the Mariners across a seven-year spell from 1966 to 1973, scoring 14 goals. At his time at Blundell Park, he captained Town as well as playing his part in the 1971/72 Division Four title win. In his career spanning 15 years Worthington also played for Halifax Town, Barrow and Southend United as well as having a short spell in management. Post career Dave also went onto becoming a scout for many clubs across the English football pyramid.

The former defender will be in McMenemy’s before Saturday’s game alongside our matchday host Dave Smith where he will be discussing some of his favourite memories in football as well as taking part in a Q&A. Hospitality guests will also have the chance to meet and greet Worthington.

Please note all hospitality packages for this fixture have sold out.
