Wrexham Travel Guide

Making the journey to Wrexham this weekend for our National League Play-off Semi Final? Kristine Green has provided the following travel guide to help make your journey run as smooth as possible.

What colour kit will the team be wearing?

Blue kit for this one again.

What’s the ticket information?

The full allocation of tickets has been sold – no further tickets are available.

What stand are we in?

Town fans are in the Wrexham Lager Stand in both upper and lower blocks.  Please enter via turnstiles 1 to 4 and check your ticket to see whether you are upper or lower.

What time will turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open at 11.00am.

How do I get to the ground?

Using the A483 towards Wrexham.  Leave the A483 at the A541 Mold Road.  The ground is a few hundred yards down from this junction as you head towards the town centre.

Where is the best place to park?

If you arrive early there may be some street parking but with a large home crowd expected you’ll have to be quick. Otherwise, Glyndwr University has a car park costing £3.  There are other private car parks available towards the town centre.

Where’s the best place for disabled parking?

Spaces are available alongside the fence on the Wrexham Glyndwr University car park, which is manned by Wrexham DSA volunteers – this costs £3.00.  Entry is next to the speed camera on Mold Road. Please note that this is on the opposite side of the stadium to where Town fans are located.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Wrexham Train Station is pretty much next to the ground so nice and easy if you’re going by train.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

There are a number of pubs around the ground and in the town centre, which is only 5-10 minutes away.

The Turf located at the ground is for home fans only.

Is food available in the area?

Plenty of local and national chain food outlets in the town centre.

If you’re staying around after the game and fancy an Indian meal in the evening – IJazz was voted best in Wales.  Although this is best by car as it’s a fair walk away from the ground.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

The nearest ATM that’s showing as free is the Shell garage on Mold Road.  Otherwise, there are plenty of cash machines in the town centre.

What food and drink are available at the stadium?

Usual burgers, hot dogs etc available, alongside hot and cold drinks.  Alcohol will be available in the ground – I am told that Wrexham are looking to extend the drinking area to outside of the stadium. I have no further information on this at the minute.

Both cash and card are accepted.

Is a programme available?

Programmes are available and priced at £3.00
