YOUTH TEAM REPORT | Grimsby Town 1-1 Rotherham United

Grimsby travelled to Rotherham on Saturday morning as they head into a busy March.

Town started well and could have been a two goals up early on but Gardner and Giles both saw their shots well saved by the Millers keeper.

Town’s Henry Brown also had a great chance to score but he smashed his effort over the bar.

However, despite Town’s good start it was Rotherham United who headed home on 15 mins to take the lead.

Grimsby however responded well, and did equalise when Clements bundled home from close range.

The second half was a stalemate with neither side creating any clear cut chances both defences battled and blocked to keep the scores level.

Next up for town is Harrogate away on Tuesday 11am KO at York St John’s University.
