Youth Team In Strong Form

Neil Woods’ side head into the quarter-final in excellent form, having enjoyed a productive run of league fixtures in recent weeks.

Town most recently ran out 4-1 winners against Chesterfield, producing a controlled and confident display, with goals from Alex Graham, Elliot Smith, Carlo Midwinter and Henry Brown, as the youngsters continued their unbeaten start to the year.

That victory followed a thrilling 6-2 home win over Notts County, where Henry Brown marked his return with a first-half brace, while Graham, Smith, Ted Sharp and Josh Edwards also got on the scoresheet in a dominant attacking performance.

Earlier in the campaign, Town have also impressed on the road, recording notable 4-1 victories away at Burton Albion and Rotherham United, underlining both the attacking quality and resilience within the squad.

Across recent fixtures, Town’s Youth Team have shown a strong goal threat from across the pitch, high-energy pressing and quick transitions, along with a growing confidence and consistency in performance.

With momentum building and a cup semi-final place at stake, supporters are encouraged to get down to Blundell Park and back the next generation of Mariners under the lights.

The fixture offers a great opportunity to see some of the Club’s brightest young talents in competitive action.
