We can confirm that Zak Gilsenan has joined National League North side Buxton on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old midfielder arrived at Blundell Park in the summer on a free transfer following his departure from Blackburn Rovers and will now look to gain further senior minutes during his time with the Bucks.

Gilsenan has made five appearances in all competitions for the Mariners this season, finding the net against Everton Under-21s in the Vertu Trophy back in November.
