From long-range thunderbolts, match-winning strikes, historic moments against Premier League opposition and genuine works of art – it’s time to vote for this season’s Goal of the Season!
Goal A: Justin Amaluzor vs Shrewsbury Town (Carabao Cup)
In what was a truly dominant Round One display in this season’s Carabao Cup opener, it was Justin Amaluzor who opened the scoring against the recently relegated Shrews. Town had started the game on the front foot, with Geza David Turi winning the ball in the visitors’ half, driving deep into the penalty area and laying it into the path of the arriving Amaluzor, who made no mistake with his whipped finish, firing into the top left corner.
Goal B: Charles Vernam vs MK Dons (A)
A complete first-half display away at Stadium MK was topped off with a moment of magic from in-form winger Charles Vernam. Beating his man with ease, Vernam drove towards the box with pace and power before whipping a beautiful effort beyond the helpless Craig MacGillivray to add Town’s third goal within the opening half hour.
Goal C: Jamie Walker vs Cheltenham Town (H)
The first of two simply outrageous strikes from midfielder Jamie Walker came back in September 2025, with Town running out 7-1 winners on the day. Walker didn’t hesitate as the ball sprang to him in space 35 yards from goal, collecting it on the run before rifling it, still half on the turn, unerringly into the far top corner. The strike was voted Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month for September, to little surprise for the Mariners faithful inside Blundell Park that afternoon.
Goal D: Jamie Walker vs Cheltenham Town (H)
Having only just restored parity in the tie against Cheltenham, mere minutes later it was Jamie Walker again, adding a second goal from an impossible angle. Receiving the ball on the left flank, Walker took aim, floating a delicious curling effort into the top right corner to cap off one of the best individual performances of the campaign so far.
Goal E: Jaze Kabia vs Cheltenham Town (H)
Not to be overshadowed by Jamie Walker’s earlier heroics in the same match, it was Town’s #9 who added a ruthless third goal from range against the Robins. With the visitors down to nine men, Kabia was on hand to fire in his seventh goal of the campaign, receiving the ball on the edge of the area before unleashing a thunderous drive into the bottom left corner.
Goal F: Kieran Green vs Cheltenham Town (A)
The skipper wasted no time back in January against the Robins, helping Town to a controlled victory and make it six games unbeaten in all competitions. Receiving the ball in acres of space, Green spun and fired a thunderous drive into the roof of the net from 25 yards out.
Goal G: Harvey Rodgers vs Colchester United (A)
In what was an incredibly tight and fiercely competitive encounter against Colchester United back in January, it was always likely to be a game defined by a moment of quality. It was the rampaging Rodgers who delivered, picking up the ball on the edge of the area and firing a powerful drive into the net to secure a seventh game unbeaten and all three points for the Mariners.
Goal H: Charles Vernam vs Notts County (A)
A typically cagey and competitive fixture against promotion-chasing Notts County was decided late in the second half thanks to a perfectly placed effort from the edge of the area at Meadow Lane. Receiving the ball on the left flank, Town’s #30 cut inside, beat two defenders and fired beyond James Belshaw.
Goal I: Tyrell Sellars-Fleming vs Accrington Stanley (H)
A truly memorable moment for the 20-year-old Hull City loanee, securing a vital three points for Town at home to Accrington Stanley. Bringing the long ball down with composure, the young forward drove towards the area before arrowing a low effort into the bottom left corner, marking his first EFL goal in style.
Goal J: Charles Vernam vs Manchester United (H)
A goal that Town fans will remember forever. Having started the game against the Red Devils on top for large spells, Town opened the scoring 22 minutes in thanks to a brilliant and instinctive finish from Vernam. Darragh Burns floated in a perfectly placed cross, which was taken down and instantly fired low beyond Andre Onana’s near post, sending Blundell Park into raptures.
