We can confirm that Darragh Burns has today joined League of Ireland Premier Division side Derry City for an undisclosed fee.

The winger departs Blundell Park after making 61 appearances for the Mariners, having joined the Club from Milton Keynes Dons in January 2025.

One of his standout moments came in our memorable Carabao Cup victory over Manchester United, where he provided the assist for our opening goal before confidently converting two penalties in the dramatic shootout, including the decisive spot-kick to send the Mariners through.

Everyone at Grimsby Town would like to thank Darragh for his efforts during his time at Blundell Park and wish him every success for the future as he returns to the League of Ireland with Derry City.
