Speaking after watching his side book their place in round 3, Town boss Michael Jolley said: “From a club perspective, obviously a draw that would give us some kind of financial benefit would be significant for us.
“There are other clubs at our level that have gained significantly by having that kind of a draw and a good run.
“There’s some frustration in us that we haven’t played at the level we know we can, and yet we’ve won the game 2-0 and in the end we’ve seen it out quite professionally.
“It’s difficult to get any rhythm or flow to the game when the ball is coming forward so much from so many set-plays.
“It was our job, we knew that was how the game would be, and it was our job to try and establish ourselves in the game.
“Until the last part of the game, I was never comfortable that we did that, however I knew there were levels for us to move into, and I’m really pleased to get the win.
“That’s certainly a step forward for us – we’ve not won away for a while, and we’ll take it.”
