After a break from Sky Bet League Two action against Barnsley in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, the Mariners head to West Yorkshire to take on Bradford City as we look to build on our four-match unbeaten run.
Since losing 3-2 at league leaders Notts County in our second match of the campaign, Paul Hurst’s men have picked up victories against Salford City and Gillingham at Blundell Park along with draws against Mansfield Town and Walsall.
Along with a sharing of the points against AFC Wimbledon on the opening weekend, Town sit in 12th on nine points after six matches – one ahead of a Bradford City side with eight to their name.

Speaking to the media this week, Hurst confirmed that he will have the same squad to pick from as the last two fixtures with Kieran Green, Otis Khan and Donovan Wilson still absent with injury.
Bradford City
The Bantams, under the stewardship of manager Mark Hughes, have had a mixed start to the season with two wins, two draws and two losses to their name. Despite that, they boast a formidable home record having not suffered defeat at the University of Bradford Stadium since March.
This summer saw the West Yorkshire club pick up the experienced defender Ash Taylor along with the highly-rated duo of Alex Pattison and Clarke Oduor from Harrogate Town and Barnsley, respectively.
The latter two have already got on the scoresheet for a Bradford side that have scored just four goals so far this season with last season’s League Two top scorer Andy Cook yet to open his account for the new season.
Previous Meetings
Last season’s match at Valley Parade saw the Bantams come out on the right side of a five-goal affair with a late goal from Cook following an equaliser from Jamie Walker after Town took a 2-1 lead into the half-time break following goals from Gavan Holohan and Andy Smith.
The return fixture at Blundell Park saw the sides share the spoils in a goalless draw.
Across the 65 matches the two sides have played between them, the Mariners have won 18 compared to Bradford’s 30.

Sam Purkiss is the man in charge of tomorrow’s match in his first Mariners game since our 5-0 defeat at Swindon Town last season. He will be assisted by Daniel Woodward and Daniel Robinson.
