Wright joined the Mariners in the summer of 2024/25 on a two-year deal from Lincoln City.

The 25-year-old began his career moving through the ranks at Nottingham Forest and during his 6-year spell at the City Ground, had loan spells at Alfreton Town, Kettering Town, Grantham Town, Nuneaton Borough, Alloa Athletic and Hereford.

The shot-stopper made 31 appearances for the Imps before making the move to Blundell Park, becoming David Artell’s second signing of the summer.
