We return to Blundell Park tomorrow afternoon for an enticing Emirates FA Cup Second Round clash, as we welcome Wealdstone to Cleethorpes for the second season running.
The Mariners come into the tie looking to respond after the frustration of last week’s late defeat to Tranmere Rovers in Sky Bet League Two. A brief break has allowed David Artell’s squad to reset and refocus, and they’ll be aiming to carry the positives from a much-improved second-half display into today’s cup action.
A win this afternoon would not only seal a coveted place in the Third Round, where Premier League heavyweights enter the competition, but also provide valuable momentum heading into a busy festive schedule.
Town booked their Second Round spot with a 3-1 comeback victory over Ebbsfleet United, overturning an early setback through a Danny Rose brace and a towering Cameron McJannet header.
