Town are back on the road this Sunday, as we visit Neil Harris’ Cambridge United, with kick off scheduled for 3pm.

Pitch Precautions
With the current cold snap in mind, our host’s have confirmed their grounds team have been working hard since the conclusion of their New Year’s Day fixture to give Sunday’s game the best possible chance of going ahead. Pitch covers and heaters are in use, with a further update expected on Sunday morning.

We’re in our red and blue away kit for this game.

Tickets are available from the Cambridge United Ticket Office on the day, with a £2 increase.
South Habbin Terracing/Standing – note this is different stand to previous visits. A covered stand at the side of the pitch.

Getting to the Abbey Stadium
Postcode for the ground is CB5 8LN.
By Car
Travelling from the North? A14 from Huntingdon, then turn east along the A14 dual carriage way.
Travelling from the South? M11 to Junction 14, then turn east along the A14 dual carriageway.
- Then exit the A14 at the fourth junction (situated east of Cambridge), up the slip road to the roundabout (signposted Stow-Cum-Quy).
- Turn right onto the A1303 and return westwards towards Cambridge.
- Go straight over the first roundabout, passing Marshall Airport to the left.
- Go straight over two sets of traffic lights to a roundabout. The Ground’s floodlights can be seen from here and McDonald’s is on the right.
- Turn left onto the ring road.
- Turn right at the first roundabout (a large Sainsbury’s is on the left here) and go along Coldham’s Lane.
- After half a mile, immediately after the traffic lights turn right into Coldham’s Road before the railway bridge.
Parking
The Abbey Stadium does not have parking for fans, so supporters are encouraged to make use of local street parking.
There are a limited number of disabled parking spaces – to check availability call 01223 566500 option 1 between 9am and 3pm to book.
Public Transport
Cambridge railway station is located in the city centre about a 25–30-minute walk away from the ground.
Alternatively, taxis are available as well as the C3 bus route.
What stand are we in?
Both seating and standing tickets are in the South Habbin stand.
What time do turnstiles open?
Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm.
Pubs for Away Supporters
Plenty in the City Centre but that is some distance away. Nothing really around the stadium pub wise for away fans.
Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?
There are cashpoints at Tesco’s on Newmarket Road and the Spar shop on the junction of Newmarket Road and Barnwell Road
Food & Drink Inside the Stadium
The Abbey Stadium serves a range of food and drink once inside including alcohol. The stadium is cashless so its card/contactless only.
Food available in the area?
Newmarket Road has a host of chain restaurants such as McDonalds, Frankie and Bennies and Nando’s.
There is a family fan zone outside the Club Shop which will be open but is weather dependant. This does not serve alcohol.
Is a programme available?
Yes, a printed programme will be available. This is a cash-only purchase costing £4.00.
Flags, Banners and Drums
Flag placement will depend on the number of tickets sold. Please speak to stewards upon arrival.
