Maldini Kacurri joined Grimsby Town on an 18-month deal in January 2026 from Arsenal, with the option to extend for a further year.
The 20-year-old centre-back progressed rapidly through the Gunners’ academy, signing his first professional contract in July 2024 before making his senior debut in the EFL Cup.
Born in Lewisham and eligible to represent Albania, Kacurri has featured at youth international level and made his senior international debut in 2025. He gained valuable first-team experience during loan spells with Bromley and Morecambe, with his time at the Mazuma Stadium proving particularly productive, earning consecutive Player of the Month awards and over 2,000 minutes of senior football.
A commanding, left-footed centre-half standing at 6ft 2”, Kacurri brings physicality, aerial strength and front-foot defending to the Mariners’ defensive unit.
