Vacancy: Academy Physiotherapists (Casual)

We are inviting applications for the role of Academy Physiotherapists (Casual), as we continue to strengthen the medical and performance provision across our Academy.

Based in Cleethorpes, this casual/sessional role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a professional football environment, supporting the development of young players across both the Foundation Phase (U9-U11) and Youth Development Phase (U12-U16).

About the role

The successful candidates will play a key part in delivering injury treatment and rehabilitation programmes in line with the Club’s commitment to developing elite players through the EPPP framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing pitch-side first aid and acute injury management on matchdays and training sessions
  • Conducting emergency medical equipment checks prior to fixtures
  • Recording all injuries and treatments using the Performance Management Application (PMA)
  • Reporting significant injuries to the Head of Sports Science and Medicine
  • Referring players for further medical assessment where required
  • Delivering detailed injury assessments and diagnoses within the Academy clinic
  • Maintaining accurate SOAP notes for all treatments
  • Implementing evidence-based rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual players
  • Communicating effectively with players and parents/carers regarding treatment plans and recovery

The role will involve working at Oasis Academy Wintringham for home fixtures, as well as travelling to away matches across the North East, with transport provided.

About the candidate

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

Essential:

  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Rehabilitation
  • HCPC registration (Physiotherapists only)
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists or Society of Sports Therapists

Desirable:

  • FA Safeguarding Certification (training can be provided)
  • FA Intermediate Trauma and Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) (training can be provided)

Salary: £15 per hour
