A frustrated Town boss had this to say after seeing his side fall to a late defeat at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium today.

Speaking on iFollow, Jolley said: “We’re incredibly frustrated because I thought we were the better team, and we created a number of chances to score more than the one goal that we have.

“Cheltenham scored a deflected goal and a penalty in added time – apart from that, there was one or two situations where they could have scored other goals.”

“But we’ve had multiple occasions where we’ve arrived at the penalty box and we should have scored more than the one goal than we’ve done so.

“I think if we had done that, I think we would have got at least a point from the game.”

On the winning penalty, he added: “It looked like Barnett got the first contact on the ball, so when a centre-forward gets the first contact on the ball, as a defender you give yourself a difficult situation.”
