The Mariners are back on the road this Saturday as Town travel to Priestfield Stadium to face Gillingham in Sky Bet League Two action.

If you’re making the long journey to Kent to back the Mariners, here’s everything you need to know ahead of the trip.

What colour kit will the team be wearing?

Town will be wearing our brown third kit for the first time this season for this fixture.

What’s the ticket information?

The Mariners received an initial allocation of 483 tickets for this fixture.

Tickets can be purchased on matchday via Gillingham’s away ticketing portal or by scanning the QR code at the ground.

Ticket prices:

  • Adult: £25
  • Senior (65+): £22
  • Young Adult (18–21): £17
  • Under 18: £13
  • Under 14: £10

Please note that Priestfield Stadium is a cashless venue.

What stand are Town fans in?

Town supporters will be accommodated in the Gordon Road Stand, a covered side stand, and the uncovered Brian Moore Stand.

Away turnstiles are located on Priestfield Road.

How do I get to the ground?

The postcode for sat-nav users is ME7 4DD.

Exit the M2 at Junction 4 and join the A278 towards Gillingham. Continue straight over two roundabouts before turning left onto the A2 towards Gillingham town centre.

At the traffic lights at the junction with the A231, turn right onto Nelson Road. Continue past the small bus station before turning right onto Gillingham Road. The stadium will be on your right-hand side.

Please allow plenty of time for the journey, particularly given the distance between Grimsby and Gillingham.

Where is the best place to park?

There is no parking available at the stadium on matchdays, and the surrounding roads are subject to residents’ parking restrictions.

Gillingham FC Supporters Club operates matchday parking at the following locations:

  • Kent Ramgarhia Darbar Sikh Temple – ME7 4DG
  • Woodlands Academy – ME7 2DU
  • Barnsole Primary School – ME7 2JG

Parking costs £5, with cash payments only. All three car parks are clearly signposted and within a 10-minute walk of the stadium.

Please note that Woodlands Academy and Barnsole Primary School car parks close approximately 30 minutes before kick-off and reopen 20 minutes after full-time.

There is also a car park on Railway Street, near Gillingham railway station.

For those looking for street parking, Larkfield Avenue, Sunnymead Avenue and Third Avenue are suggested areas to check. Please ensure you follow all parking restrictions.

Is there disabled parking?

There are no dedicated disabled parking bays at the stadium.

Disabled supporters can use available street parking, provided a valid Blue Badge is clearly displayed. Please check local parking restrictions before leaving your vehicle.

When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles will open at 1:30pm, 90 minutes before the 3pm kick-off.

Away supporters should access the stadium via the turnstiles on Priestfield Road.

What is the nearest train station?

Gillingham railway station is the nearest station to Priestfield Stadium, approximately a 10-15-minute walk away.

On leaving the station, turn left onto Balmoral Road and continue to the crossroads. Cross over onto Priestfield Road, where the stadium will be directly ahead.

Supporters travelling by train should allow sufficient time to reach the ground before kick-off.

The Southern Belle

Situated opposite Gillingham railway station, The Southern Belle is a convenient option for supporters arriving by train.

There are additional pubs in Gillingham town centre, although some may not permit supporters to enter wearing football colours or shirts. Please check individual venue policies before visiting.

What food is available in the area?

There are limited food options immediately around the stadium, but Gillingham town centre is approximately a 10-minute walk away and offers a wider selection of places to eat.

Where is the nearest cash machine?

Cash machines are available at Sainsbury’s on the corner of Linden Road and Gillingham Road, as well as outside the railway station and on the High Street.

Supporters should note that the stadium is cashless, so cash will not be accepted for purchases inside the ground.

What food and drink is available at the stadium?

The usual matchday food options, including burgers and hot dogs, will be available alongside hot and cold drinks.

Alcohol will also be available in the away end from 1:30pm, when turnstiles open.

Is a programme available?

A printed matchday programme, The Priestfield Review, will be available around the ground, priced at £3.50.

What is the flag policy?

Supporters wishing to bring flags into the stadium should follow stewards’ instructions regarding where flags can be placed.

Please cooperate with stadium staff to ensure flags are positioned safely and do not obstruct other supporters’ views.
