Grimsby Town Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Ollie Battersby has joined Belper Town on a one-month loan deal.
Ollie has joined up with the Northern Premier League Midlands Division side until 11th October 2021 and made his debut for the club on Saturday 11th September in a 2-1 victory at home to Cambridge City.
Progressing through the GTFC Academy system, Battersby penned his first professional contract with the Mariners in December 2018 and made his professional debut for his boyhood club in November 2020 during a 3-1 defeat at home to Leicester City U21’s in the EFL Trophy.
Battersby was sent on loan to Gateshead in December 2020 however, his spell at the club was short-lived after being recalled just five days later due to James McKeown being forced to serve a period of self-isolation.
We would like to wish Ollie all the best on his short spell away from Blundell Park.
Good luck Ollie!
