Bromsgrove Sporting Travel Guide

Making the journey to Bromsgrove this weekend? Kristine Green gives you all the information you require below!

What colour kit will the team be wearing?

We’re in black and white for this FA Cup game.

What’s the ticket information?

There is strictly no tickets to purchase or collect on the day. This will not change.

What stand are we in?

Town fans are situated on the South Stand, which is an open terrace.

What time will turnstiles open?

Turnstiles will open at 11am – searches will be undertaken before entering the ground so please be mindful as this will slow down the process.

How do I get to the ground?

Post code is B61 0DR

Exit the M42 at junction 1 and take the second exit at the roundabout onto the A38 towards Bromsgrove.  After half a mile, turn right at the first set of traffic lights onto Birmingham Road. Go across the mini roundabout with the Crabmill Public House on the left. The ground is on the right.

Where is the best place to park?

The stadium itself has no parking for fans. There are however a number of pay and display car parks nearby as the ground is fairly close to the town centre.

Stourbridge Road (B61 8DA) – Is currently being used as a COVID testing site so unavailable.

Other council car parks include Parkside, Market Street, School Drive and Recreation Road. This is where away fans are encouraged to park. Pay and display car parks are 80p an hour and have strict enforcement.

Parkside Medical Practice, located on Stourbridge Road and left just past Parkside Hall, is also available for parking. The cost is only £1 for the day.

There is sometimes on-road parking available on Birmingham Road. Do not park on yellow lines as there are enforcement officers out and about. Blackmore Lane is for residents and visitors only.

Do not park on the Bromsgrove retail park – it has a time limit and fines are issued.

What is the nearest train station to the stadium and what is the approximate distance and walking time?

Bromsgrove Station is South of the stadium – Around a mile and half/35-minute walk.  If you are intending on arriving by train then it’s suggested you grab a taxi if you intend to go straight to the ground.

Recommended pubs for away fans?

With an earlier kick-off, the choice of pubs is limited. Wetherspoons in the town centre is the main one Town fans should head for.

Food available in the area?

The town centre is half a mile/10 minute walk away. Here you’ll find a number of independent and chain restaurants and food outlets.

Bromsgrove Sporting are looking at additional catering outside of the ground but this is not guaranteed.

Where is the nearest cash machine to the Stadium?

There are a couple of ATM’s on Birmingham Road but they charge for withdrawals.  The town centre has plenty of machines that do not charge.

What food and drink is available at the stadium?

There will be no alcohol available in the stadium.

It is cash only for refreshments.

Usual stadium food with hot/cold drinks also available.

What the flag policy?

Please follow stewards instructions on the placement of flags.
