Following significant deterioration and damage caused to the Roots Hall Stadium between 2pm and 4pm, the National League have agreed to postpone this evening’s fixture at Southend United.

As stated earlier this morning, we have continued to push all day for an early decision on behalf of our travelling supporters.

Tickets held for the original fixture this evening will be valid for the rearranged date, with those unable to attend the new date eligible for a refund by returning tickets to Blundell Park. Any information relating to the rearranged fixture will be published in due course.

We share our supporters’ frustrations and we wish our supporters who have made the journey down to Southend a very safe journey home in difficult travel conditions.
