Essel loan extended

We can confirm that forward Edwin Essel has seen his loan at Grimsby Borough extended to the end of the season.

A product of our academy system, Essel joined Town as a 10-year-old and signed his first professional contract with the Club in April last year and has made three appearances in the black and white shirt so far.

The teenage striker first joined the Wilderness Boys in October and, after extending his spell by a further month in November, has now signed a deal that will see him with Borough for the remainder of the campaign.

Essel has scored three goals in nine games to date for the Northern Premier League Division One East club.

The Mariners would like to wish Edwin well for the rest of his loan spell!
