Freeview | Listen To What Michael Jolley Had To Say After The Bury Defeat

Speaking to the press after the 4-0 drubbing at Gigg Lane, he said: “For me, the first thing to say is thank you to the supporters that remained until the end of the match. We appreciate their loyalty, and the fact they came all the way across to Bury. They stayed with us until the end.

“I think they are the only people that could come away with any credit.

“We are not ruthless enough with the chances we create, and we are not working hard enough to prevent the ball from going into our goal.

“We are giving too many set plays away, which is giving them a free chance to get the ball in our box, and we are not stopping enough crosses.

“As a collective, we must be more ruthless at both ends of the pitch.”
