Grimsby Town Women To Play Barton United At Blundell Park This Sunday

We are delighted to announce that Grimsby Town Women’s team will face Barton United Ladies at Blundell Park in the Lincolnshire League on Sunday, September 29 (2pm).

Entry to the game will be £2 for adults, and children’s admission is free – gates open at 1pm, and only the Main Stand will be open.

Manager Dale Houlston said: “I think that this is a real treat for the players of both teams.

“I think it is a really great gesture on the part of the club, and once again demonstrates commitment they have made in wanting to see women’s football develop in the area.

“We hope to see plenty of supporters from both sides and that everyone will enjoy the occasion.

“Nick Dale and his ground staff are fully behind us with this and we thank them too for their help in making sure this game can go ahead.”

Parking is available via the club’s car park on a first come first served basis which is accessible via Imperial or Constitutional Avenues, with street parking once the car park is full. We would kindly ask supporters not to park on Imperial or Constitutional Avenues.

We will have a number of activities taking place throughout the day too, including facepainting for £3 and a photo booth located within the Family Lounge and we will also have a steel band playing.

The Players bar will also be open for hot and cold refreshments.

Be sure to bring along the family for this moment in history, as our ladies take to the Blundell Park pitch for the first time!
