Grimsby Town midfielder Harry Clifton has been called up to the Wales U21 squad for their UEFA Euro 2021 qualifier away at Moldova on Friday, October 11 (3pm).
The 21-year-old made his international debut last month, coming on as a substitute, as Rob Page’s side lost 5-1 to Germany U21.
The result left Wales third (out of five teams) in Group 9, after they beat Belgium 1-0 in their first game.
And the midfielder will now be hoping to earn his second international cap on October 11 as Wales travel to Moldova, who are currently bottom of the group after losing 4-0 to Bosnia and Herzegovina in their first match.
Clifton will be on international duty from Sunday, October 6 to Saturday, October 12, and will be unavailable for Town’s EFL Trophy tie at Sunderland (October 8) and Sky Bet League Two clash at Stevenage (October 12).
We would like to congratulate Clifton on his international call-up and wish him the best of luck for the game.
