Grimsby Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Spilsbury as our new Head of Operations.
Daniel arrives at Blundell Park with a wealth of experience in football, after holding similar roles at both Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City recently. Adam Smith, who has headed up our operations will now concentrate on the role of Club Secretary.
Just a few days into his new job, Daniel said, “I’m really excited about what I have seen over my first four or five days and it’s great to be here.”
“I have worked in football for quite a bit of my life and have previously worked for Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City, mostly in the operations side of things.
“Reporting to the CEO, my remit is to oversee the operations side of the Club, which includes the stadium and the Ticket Office. I’ll also be supporting the future training ground project and focussing on the fan experience.
“I feel like the Club is on a journey and with the new owners, the dynamics have changed over the last few months. I feel like I can help the Club continually improve.”
Speaking of Daniel’s appointment, CEO Debbie Cook said, “We’d like to officially welcome Daniel to the Club and wish him well in his new role.”
“I’m looking forward to working with Daniel and to listening to his new ideas based on his previous experience.”
