“I think it was a good performance from us,” Jolley said.
“Certainly while we had 11 men on the pitch, I thought we were the better team.
“We created a number of chances in the first half, and I thought we were a bit unlucky to go in just 1-0 up.
“Obviously there was the red card, and that changed the flow of the game, but fair play to the boys, I thought they defended really diligently.
“They did the basics well and put their bodies on the line to keep the ball out, then Charles came on and got an excellent second goal, so we’re really happy today.
Jolley added: “What we look for is performance, and I think last week everybody was quick to point out our performance wasn’t good, and we understood that and weren’t happy about it.
“Today, we wanted to perform better, and I think we did that, so that was pleasing.”
