Mariners to commemorate Armistice Day

The Mariners will commemorate Armistice Day today when we host Morecambe at Blundell Park in our latest Sky Bet League Two fixture.

Ahead of the match, the teams will be welcomed onto the pitch by a bagpiper before the captains of each side lay wreaths in the centre circle to remember the fallen.

We will then hold a period of silence and reflection before a bugler plays The Last Post. All supporters are invited to observe the period of silence to honour the servicemen and women who have lost their lives in conflict.

Both sides will be wearing black armbands with the poppy emblem throughout the match.

We will remember them.
