We can confirm that Matty Carson has signed a one-month loan deal with Alfreton Town.

The 22-year-old defender joined the Mariners in summer 2024 and has since gone on to make 13 appearances in all competitions, starting in all our Vertu Trophy fixtures this season.

He now joins the National League North side to continue his development and gain more valuable game time.

Everyone at the Mariners would like to wish Matty well during his loan spell.
